"ALOHA" Pass it on!

What a finish for the Vahine a big win of our Young Champ Hinatea Bernadino, Philippe niece, but a good challenge from Maui's own Emili Janchevis, 3rd last year 2nd this year what a race.
The high lite came from the big fight in between last year Champ, 2 times world sprint champ (2002/2004) George Cronsteadt, his brother Yohan, Shell Va'a top paddler, and to day's world champ Taaroa Dubois. After a good lead from King George, his brother caught up and passed George very hardly but surely to keep the lead up to the finish line. A big effort from Taaroa to try to keep the 1'08'' time difference with Yohan. Taaroa came second for he 3rd lap to win the over all Super Aito 2009 with only 2'' over Yohan, Gorge came 3rd.
What a race. The U20 Steeve Teihotaata came 4th.

Iorana! Mahalo for this post on Super Aito. What an amazing showing by Taaroa. But also by all the top competitors. I was able to get a translated copy of the vaatahiti.com article on Super aito posted at: http://www.maoliwaa.com/Maoli_Waa/Blog/Blog.html
For additional information.

I am really happy for Taaroa that he made it to win this at the end! Congratulations also to all the others for their efforts and results. I think that this race really deserves its name!
