Ka'iwi Channel Solo recap
The channel calls. On the 27th of April 08 I will take the challenge. It will be my first solo accross the channel but I have been across twice in an OC-6 and last years Starbucks Relay. Last year I was chomping at the bit while helping escort my paddling buddy Cliff while he did the Solo World Championships put on by Epic. This year It's my turn. Ka'iwi Channel Relay 2008
The race was a little less grueling (its nice to take a break once in a while) than last week's solo. I could actually function afterwards. I'm very thankful for the support for both races. Specifically, I'd like to thank Dave W, and Al (even though I never even stepped onto his new boat) for keeping me going in the correct direction last week, and Brian (Cliff's escort boat driver), and Cliff for teaming up for this week's race.
