training session - 21 sept 2009

Very happy tonight. Training was great this evening.
Every year we try to get a team of beginners for Hawaiki Nui. For 2009 we have 12 paddlers, 7 of them have never done a marathon race, only very short distances...
We don't have a good canoe, the ones wo have are not suited for open ocean, so we have to rent one.
2 weeks ago we got an AhTak V6 from Fare Ara. We finally found how to paddle this canoe tonight... and I feel very good now.
