Tsunami in the Pacific

Woke up to news of a tsunami impacting American Samoa and to a lesser extent Western Samoa in particular. My thoughts and wishes are with our paddling community there and the other impacted areas. Would love to know if everyone is safe and well. Also heard that the harbour in Raratonga emptied out and flooded back in, hope everything is OK there to.

my thoughts and prayers are with the families in samoa affected by the tsunami as well as the familes affected in the Philippines by the typhoon. GOD BLESS!

Mate Samoa (as in Western Samoa) is pretty bad. the 'extent' of damage is far worse than American Samoa, trust me. a large area of the cost line has been wiped out. I have been out there myself and have been helping the red cross.

Oh dear, that is dreadful to hear. My thoughts and prayers to all, I can't imagine the horror of the situation. Let us know what the outrigger community can do to help.
