Event Description
The Westcott 120 is a fundraising paddle from Etty Bay in Australia's tropical north to Cairns. The paddle runs over 2 days on August the 29th and 30th for a total distance of 120km. Each participating paddler pays $200 towards fuel expences for the support boats and is asked to raise $500 to go to the Heart Foundation. This fundraiser was started by Marty Westcott in 2008 as a tribute to his father who passed away in 2002 due to a heart problem. All paddlers must train adequately to be allowed to paddle over the event days for safety reasons.
